Student life is an education

Ireland“My current foray into the world of Academia isn’t going as well as I’d planned. In fact, truth be told, the whole thing is an unmitigated disaster. Maybe my brain has shrunk from old age and lack of sleep or maybe I wasn’t that clever in the first place but nobody noticed before because we were all drunk. Either way the whole experience isn’t proving very enjoyable. Firstly, trying to fit in when you’re old enough to be the mother of most of the student population isn’t exactly easy. And while dressing like a student (you know, skinny jeans, tight tee shirt, baggy cardigan and tousled hair) looks cool when you’re 18, at my age it looks like you’ve spent the night sleeping rough …” (more)
