Student Entrepreneurs Need Solid Experience

UK“A University of Ulster entrepreneurship lecturer has won plaudits for research into how universities should improve how the subject is taught. Dr Cecilia Hegarty says her research in Ireland and Australia underlines the imperative of teaching being learner-centred rather than one-size-fits all studies. Questioning the notion of the overnight ‘graduate entrepreneur’, she says evidence points to the need for intensive focus on developing students’ life-skills and approach to work so as to build capacity and ingenuity that may flourish over a period of years.
