Makeover for NUI landmark

Ireland“One of NUI Galway’s most recognisable buildings could be given a makeover, if planning permission is granted by Galway City Council. The university has applied for permission to construct a new four-story Humanities and Social Sciences Building, adjacent to the existing James Hardiman Library on Lower Newcastle Road. The building will include a roof screened plant area and a three-storey glazed atrium, which will connect the proposed building to the Hardiman Library, becoming the new entrance to the protected structure …” (more)
