University forced to uproot landmark tree

Ireland“Trinity College said goodbye to one of Dublin’s most iconic trees yesterday when it was felled after contracting a fungal disease. The 130-year-old landmark horse chestnut witnessed some of the college’s most famous students, such as playwright Samuel Beckett and Physicist Ernest Walton, come and go.
