Wooing more foreign students

Ireland“We may not have the same scale of natural mineral resources as our Australian friends (David Quinn, Irish Independent August 7) but there is one other natural resource that contributed €9bn in 2008 to the Australian economy (and supports more than 125,000 jobs) and that is, higher education and the recruitment of international students to universities, colleges and language schools. International students currently contribute an estimated €500m a year to the Irish economy.
