“In September 2017 Emmanuel Macron revived the idea of the European university during his Sorbonne speech on the future of Europe. Twenty of such European universities should emerge until 2024. Varadkar wants Irish college to be part of ‘European university’

Ireland“Taoiseach Leo Varadkar wants an Irish third-level institution to become part of a new network of European universities being planned by French president Emmanuel Macron. Mr Macron has proposed that Europe should have at least 20 ‘European universities’ which would allow students to move between different institutions and take classes in at least two different languages …” (more)
