Ireland“I have heard today that there may be an entirely new development in Ireland’s university sector. It appears that a consortium of international investors are proposing to establish a university in Ireland. They will invest up to $2 billion, some of it to set up a teaching operation with new teaching methods, but a good part of it to buy in top international researchers (including some they propose to attract from existing Irish universities). I understand they have been in discussions locally for the past four or five months …” (more)
