University College Dublin (UCD) last week briefed Unite, the Irish Federation of University Teachers (IFUT), and SIPTU on the proposals, which have sparked outrage. Union leaders and researchers warned any such redundancies will have ‘serious implications’ for Ireland’s third-level sector.
