‘FEMPI must go’, ASTI tells ICTU conference

Ireland“The Irish Congress of Trade Unions (ICTU) has passed a motion proposed by the ASTI demanding that the Government repeal all aspects of the Financial Emergency in the Public Interest (FEMPI) legislation. The motion, passed at the ICTU Biennial Delegate Conference today, also commits the trade union movement to vigorous opposition to any future attempt by governments to impose unilateral changes to the pay and working conditions of public sector workers …” (more)
